Web design across Scotland
Two dominant cities, a vast rural remainder, and a separate legal system that changes what your site must say.
Glasgow and Edinburgh between them hold most of Scotland's commercial activity, and they are genuinely different from one another. Aberdeen runs on energy, Dundee on design and technology, and beyond the central belt the Highlands and Islands are extremely rural with tourism and land-based industry to the fore.
Distance is a practical reality for rural Scottish businesses, and it makes the website disproportionately important. When the nearest competitor is sixty miles away, being findable is most of the battle.
Scots law differs from English law, and that has consequences for terms, contracts and consumer wording on a website. Copying English boilerplate is a common and avoidable mistake.
What we noticeTerms and consumer notices written for England and Wales are not automatically right in Scotland. It is a small job to get right and an awkward one to be caught out by.
Towns and cities in Scotland
Each page covers what the local market actually looks like, not a template with the name changed.
Other parts of the UK
The work is the same wherever it is done, but what local customers search for is not. Each region page is written about that region.
