Most small-business websites fail in the same way. They describe the business accurately and completely, and never answer the four or five things a customer needs settled before they will pick up the phone. Do you cover my area, what does it cost, have you done this before, and can I trust you.
We start from those questions rather than from a page list. Once you know what has to be answered, the structure of the site more or less writes itself, and the design has a job to do rather than just looking tidy.
The result is usually simpler than people expect. Fewer pages, each one earning its place, and a route to getting in touch that is obvious on a phone at half past nine at night, which is when a good deal of this browsing happens.
How the work runs
- Find the signal. We work out who the site is for, what they need to decide, and what action would count as success. This is a conversation, not a form.
- Shape the story. Content and structure are organised into a route through the site, so each page moves someone one step closer to getting in touch.
- Build with care. Development, responsiveness, accessibility and speed are handled as part of the build rather than checked at the end.
- Launch clearly. We connect the domain, verify indexing, test the form end to end and hand over with a written summary.

- How long does it take?
- Usually one to two weeks from the point your content is with us. The content is nearly always the thing that decides the timeline, so the sooner that is settled the sooner it launches.
- What if I do not have any content?
- That is normal. We will work from a conversation and draft it with you. If you need full copywriting on top of that, it is quoted separately so you are not paying for it when you do not need it.
- Do I own the website?
- Yes. The domain stays in your name, the content is yours, and you can take the site elsewhere. We do not hold anything hostage.
- What happens after launch?
