How it works, from first message to live website

The steps

1. Get in touch. Message, ring or fill in the form with a line about your business. One sentence is a perfectly good start. I reply and we have a short chat about what you do, where, and who your customers are.
2. Confirmed in writing. You get a written summary of exactly what is included, what I need from you, and when it starts, so nothing is left to memory.
3. Send your content. Photos of your work, your logo if you have one, the services you want more of, the areas you cover, and any reviews you would like shown. Phone photos are fine. If writing is not your thing, I write the words from a conversation.
4. Private preview. The site is built and shown to you on a private link, usually within one to two weeks of your content arriving. You look at it on your own phone.
5. One round of changes. You send one consolidated list of changes and I make them. One clear round keeps the project moving and avoids weeks of back and forth.
6. Launch. The site goes live on your domains, registered in your name, with Google Search Console set up, the sitemap submitted and the enquiry form tested.
7. Ongoing care. The monthly covers hosting, updates, changes and support. Send a message when you want a new job, photo or price added. It is billed at the end of each month and there is no minimum term.

What you need to do

Answer a few questions, send photos and anything you already have, and look at the preview on your phone. That is it. Most of the time spent on a website goes into waiting for content, so having photos ready is the single biggest thing that speeds things up.

What happens after launch
