Who is responsible
Website Builds will identify the data controller and approved privacy contact here once the business structure and public contact details are confirmed.
Information collected
The contact form asks for a name, email address, business or project name, service interest and project message. When a form is submitted, the connection’s IP address is checked in memory to limit repeated automated submissions; it is not stored with the enquiry. Technical security logs may also be processed by approved hosting and protection providers.
Why it is used
Enquiry information will be used to respond to requests, assess potential work, keep appropriate business records and protect the website. The final lawful bases will be documented before launch.
Payments
If you choose to pay, you are taken to GoCardless, which processes your payment and bank-authorisation information under its own privacy terms. Website Builds does not directly collect or store your online-banking credentials. We receive the payment, mandate and status information needed to administer your order — for example that a payment was authorised, its amount and whether it succeeded. Payment records may need to be kept for accounting, contractual and legal purposes; the exact retention period will be confirmed here once it is set.
Sharing and storage
Enquiries are passed to the website host and to the email-delivery provider that carries the message to the business mailbox, where it is then stored. Data is shared only with the providers needed for that. Final provider names, international-transfer safeguards and retention periods will be confirmed here before publication.
Your rights
People in the UK may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of their personal data, object to some processing and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. A verified contact route will be provided before launch.
