A restrained, typographic site for a trade where the work photographs beautifully and the words should stay out of the way.
What they needed
A painter and decorator covering west Cornwall, working for homeowners, landlords and commercial clients. Decorating is judged on finish, so the site needed to look like the standard of work rather than describe it.
What we built
- A quiet editorial layout that lets photographs of finished rooms carry the page.
- Interior, exterior, wallpapering and commercial presented as separate propositions, because the buyers differ.
- Google reviews, working hours and coverage area surfaced immediately, which is what a first-time visitor checks.
- Call and WhatsApp fixed to the bottom of the screen on a phone, where most of the traffic is.
Confidence through restraint
There is no stock imagery and no filler. On a trade site, showing the actual finish and then getting out of the way is more persuasive than any adjective.
