Website redesigns
A focused rethink for a site that looks dated, loads slowly, or quietly stopped producing enquiries.
A redesign is a different job from a new build, and the difference matters. There is already traffic, existing rankings, pages people link to, and a shape the business has grown used to. Throwing all of that away is how a redesign ends up producing fewer enquiries than the site it replaced.
So the first task is working out what is actually wrong. Sometimes it is the design. More often it is that the site is slow on a phone, or the pages people search for do not exist, or the enquiry route is quietly broken and nobody has tested it in two years.
We look at that before proposing anything, because a redesign that solves the wrong problem is an expensive way to stay where you were.
How the work runs
- Diagnose. We look at what the current site does well and where it loses people, using its own data rather than opinion.
- Decide what stays. Pages that rank or convert are kept and improved. Only what is genuinely not working gets rebuilt.
- Rebuild and redirect. The new site is built and every old address is redirected to its replacement, so nothing that was earning is lost.
- Verify. After launch we confirm indexing, check the redirects resolved and watch for anything that dropped.

Common questions
The things people ask before they commit, answered plainly.
- Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
- It can, and that is the main risk. Rankings are lost when old URLs disappear without redirects, when content that was earning traffic is cut, or when the new site is slower. All three are avoidable, and avoiding them is most of the work.
- Can you keep my existing content?
- Usually yes, and usually we should. Content that already ranks is an asset. We would rather restructure and tighten it than start again for the sake of it.
- My site is on Wix or Squarespace. Can you work with it?
- We would normally rebuild rather than patch, because those platforms limit what can be fixed on speed and structure. We will tell you honestly if your current setup is fine and does not need replacing.
- How do I know it worked?
- We take a before reading of speed, indexed pages and enquiry volume, and check the same things afterwards. If it did not improve, we would rather know than assume.
