What they needed
A tree surgery firm working across Cornwall wanted more than a services list. Most enquiries started with a customer unsure whether their tree was a problem at all, so the site needed to answer that before the phone rang.
What we built
- A tree shaping tool covering the species actually common in Cornwall, drawing each one and explaining what pruning does to it and why.
- A matching hedge shaping tool, both placed on the home page where they do the most work.
- A 'when to call a tree surgeon' page illustrating rot, fungal growth, insect damage and squirrel damage with properly credited photographs.
- An admin area letting the owner edit page text and swap photographs himself, with image storage and a password reset by email.
Tools that pre-answer the enquiry
Someone unsure whether their oak needs work can see what a crown reduction actually does to it before they call. The enquiries that follow are better informed and quicker to quote.
