Web design across East Midlands
Distribution, manufacturing and university cities, spread across a region with no single dominant centre.
The East Midlands has no one capital. Nottingham, Leicester and Derby are each substantial, each distinct, and none dominates the others, which means a business here often sells into several separate local markets rather than one.
The region sits on the country's logistics spine, and distribution, warehousing and manufacturing employ a great many people. Around that sits a broad base of trades, professional services and independents.
The multi-centre geography has a direct consequence for search. A firm in Loughborough may sell equally into Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, and a website that only ever mentions its own town will be invisible in two of its three markets.
What we noticeIt sounds obvious and it is very commonly missed. If you work across three cities, the site needs to say so credibly, with real content for each, not a list of place names in the footer.
Towns and cities in East Midlands
Each page covers what the local market actually looks like, not a template with the name changed.
Other parts of the UK
The work is the same wherever it is done, but what local customers search for is not. Each region page is written about that region.
