What is reused, and what is written fresh
I reuse structure: the layouts, the navigation patterns and the enquiry flows that already work on live sites. That is what takes days out of a build and it is why the price holds.
What is never reused is the writing or the thinking about your business. Nobody visiting your site can see a grid system, and nobody cares. They can absolutely tell when a sentence could have belonged to any other firm in the same trade, and in Manchester they will tell you so.
If a supplier cannot tell you which half of their process repeats, that is worth asking about, whoever you end up using.
A market where competence is assumed
Because the city has a real digital sector, the baseline expectation is high: fast, works properly on a phone, does not do anything strange on scroll. Meeting that baseline is not a selling point here, it is the entry fee.
What differentiates is specificity — what you actually do, for whom, with evidence. Generic capability statements are read as a lack of anything to say.

- The structure is reused; the design decisions, writing and content are not. I would rather say that plainly than claim everything is built from nothing, which is rarely true of anyone at any price.
- How do I tell a bespoke build from a template?
- Look at whether the words could belong to another firm in the same trade, and whether the site does anything specific to how that business actually works. Visual polish tells you far less than either.
- Do you work with Manchester clients from Cornwall?
- Yes. The work is done by email, phone and a shared preview link, and distance has not been a practical issue. If you need someone in the room regularly, a local supplier is the better answer.
