Websites for flooring companies
Customers want to browse the range and know the quantity before they ever call.
Flooring is a browsing purchase. People want to see the actual boards, in a room, in daylight, and they want to do it several times over a fortnight before they speak to anybody. A site that shows six products and a phone number is not part of that process.
They also want to know how much they need. Working out square metres and pack quantities is the practical question that sits between interest and enquiry, and answering it on the site is the difference between a browse and a lead.
What your customers want answered
- What do you actually stock, and can I see it properly
- How much will I need for my room, in packs not just metres
- Do you supply only, or supply and fit
- Can I get a sample, and will you bring it to me
- What preparation does my subfloor need, and is that extra
A calculator earns its placeWe built one for CB Flooring that takes room sizes, adds a wastage allowance and returns the exact number of packs using the manufacturer's real coverage figures. It answers the question that otherwise ends the visit.
A range you cannot browse
Flooring firms often carry hundreds of products and show a dozen. If the range is the reason to choose you, the range has to be on the site, filterable and photographed in a room.
We have built this
CB Flooring Cornwall
A 264-page flooring brochure with a working quantity calculator, built for a one-man supply-and-fit business.

Flooring supply and fit
The calculator uses real pack sizes
Every floor carries the coverage its manufacturer publishes, verified against the supplier's own product pages. Get that number wrong by a fraction and a customer orders ten packs too many.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
