Websites for waste clearance companies
Customers can be fined for what you do with their rubbish. Show them they are safe.
Householders are increasingly aware that if their waste is fly-tipped, they can be the one prosecuted for handing it to somebody unlicensed. Every local authority publicises it, and the fear is real.
That makes licensing and paperwork a selling point rather than a formality, and it is the clearest way to separate yourself from the cheapest van on a social media page.
What your customers want answered
- Are you a registered waste carrier, and what is your number
- What happens to my waste and where does it go
- What do I get to prove it was disposed of properly
- What does it cost, and is that by volume or by load
- Do you do the lifting and clear inside the house
Registration number and transfer notesAnyone carrying waste commercially has to be registered as a waste carrier, and the householder's duty of care is discharged by checking that and getting a transfer note. Publishing the registration number and saying that a written record is issued for every job is a genuine reassurance that unlicensed competitors cannot copy.
Competing only on being cheaper than a skip
That comparison invites customers to compare you with the cheapest van available. Licensing, recycling rates and the fact that you do the loading are what justify a higher price.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
