Websites for solar panel installers
The sector has a doorstep-selling reputation. Transparency is your competitive advantage.
Solar has been sold badly for years by high-pressure outfits, and customers arrive expecting a hard sell and inflated projections. Many have been told a figure by somebody at the door and are checking whether it was true.
That is genuinely good news for an honest installer. In a market where the customer expects to be misled, publishing real numbers and explaining the caveats is a stronger position than any discount.
What your customers want answered
- Is my roof suitable, and which way does it need to face
- What will it generate, and what will I actually save
- What does it cost, including scaffolding and the inverter
- Are you MCS certified, and will I get the certificate
- What about batteries, and are they worth it for me
Explain what the paperwork is forMCS certification is what makes an installation eligible for export payments and is normally required by warranty and grant arrangements, and the connection has to be notified to the network operator. Setting out which certificates the customer receives, and why each matters later, demonstrates that the job will be finished properly rather than just fitted.
Generation figures without assumptions
Output depends on orientation, pitch, shading and location. Publishing a headline annual figure with none of that stated is exactly what the doorstep sellers do, and informed customers recognise it.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
