Websites for pharmacies
Services are the growth, not dispensing. Make them bookable.
Dispensing is the core of a pharmacy and barely needs a website. The growth is in services — vaccinations, travel health, consultations, testing, minor illness — which patients increasingly expect to book online.
Those are also the searches people make: for a flu jab, for travel vaccines before a holiday, for advice when they cannot get a GP appointment.
What your customers want answered
- What services do you offer, and do I need an appointment
- What do they cost
- Can I order or collect a repeat prescription online
- When are you open, including the weekend
- Do you deliver, and to where
A page for each service, with a priceTravel vaccinations, flu, blood pressure checks, emergency contraception, minor ailments. Each is searched for separately, each has a price a patient wants before they come in, and each deserves a bookable page rather than a line on a list.
Opening hours that are wrong
Pharmacies are searched for urgently, in the evening and on bank holidays. Inaccurate hours on the website or the map listing send an unwell person to a locked door, which is the one mistake that generates lasting bad feeling.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
