Websites for garage door specialists

Half repair, half replacement. The repair enquiries are urgent and rarely catered for.

A garage door that has failed with a car inside it is an urgent problem, and a broken spring on an up-and-over door is a genuinely dangerous one. Those customers need a repair page and a phone number.

Replacement is a different sale altogether: a considered purchase where people are choosing style, insulation, colour and whether to go electric, and will compare several suppliers over a fortnight.

What your customers want answered

  1. Can you repair mine or does it need replacing
  2. How quickly can you come if it has jammed shut
  3. What do the different door types cost, fitted
  4. Can you automate the door I already have
  5. What happens in a power cut with an electric door

Say plainly that springs are dangerousTorsion and extension springs hold a great deal of energy and injure people who attempt a home repair. Explaining that, rather than leaving it unsaid, both protects customers and justifies calling somebody out for a job that looks simple.

Only selling new doors

Repair traffic is urgent, high-intent and frequently converts into replacement later. A site with no repair page sends that customer to a competitor who will also get the eventual new door.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
