Websites for pest control companies

People ring in a panic and feel ashamed. Calm, fast and discreet beats clever.

Pest problems produce a particular kind of enquiry: urgent, embarrassed, and often made quietly because the customer does not want anybody to know. Rats in the loft or bed bugs in a spare room are experienced as a failure of housekeeping, however unfair that is.

That shapes everything. The tone has to be matter-of-fact rather than sensational, the response fast, and discretion explicit. Businesses have the same urgency for different reasons: a food premises with an infestation has a trading problem as well as a pest problem.

What your customers want answered

  1. How soon can you come out
  2. What does it cost, and is it one visit or several
  3. Is the treatment safe around children and pets
  4. Will the neighbours or my customers know you have been
  5. Do you find and block up how they got in

Sell proofing, not just treatmentKilling what is there without closing the entry point guarantees a return visit and an unhappy customer. A firm that explains it surveys for access points and proofs the building is describing the difference between a treatment and a solution, which is what justifies its price against a cheaper competitor.

Unmarked vehicles unmentioned

Domestic customers care a great deal about this and rarely ask. Saying plainly that vehicles are unmarked, or that you are discreet, removes a genuine obstacle to somebody picking up the phone.

Tell me about your business.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
