Websites for removals and storage firms
The enquiry has a date attached. Everything on the site should serve the quote.
A removals enquiry is unusually well qualified: the customer has a moving date, an address and a deadline they cannot move. What they want is a price, quickly, without a salesman in their living room.
The competition is largely national comparison sites, which win on speed rather than quality. A local firm competes by being easier to deal with and clearer about what is included.
What your customers want answered
- How much will it cost for my size of house and distance
- Can I get a quote from photographs or a video walkthrough
- Are you insured, and what is the cover per item
- Do you pack, and is packing material extra
- Do you have storage if my dates do not line up
Quote from a video walkthroughLetting a customer film their rooms on a phone and send it removes the home survey, which is the slowest and most intrusive step. Firms that offer it get to a price days before competitors do.
Not stating insurance limits
Goods in transit cover has a per-item limit, and customers with anything valuable want to know it. Publishing it prevents an awkward conversation and signals a properly run firm.
