Websites for cleaning companies

Trust and price transparency. Two things most cleaning sites withhold.

Cleaning is bought on trust, because it involves giving a stranger keys. Customers want to know who is coming, whether they are vetted, whether the same person comes each time, and what happens if something is broken.

It is also unusually price sensitive, and hiding prices behind an enquiry form loses more customers than a published range ever would. People want to know whether you are in their bracket before they invest a phone call.

What your customers want answered

  1. How much is it, at least roughly, for a house my size
  2. Are your cleaners employed, vetted and insured
  3. Will the same person come each time
  4. Do you bring products and equipment
  5. What is the notice period if I want to stop

Publish a price rangeEven a band, three bedrooms from a certain figure, filters out mismatched enquiries and reassures the rest. In this sector the businesses that publish prices consistently out-convert those that will not.

No mention of vetting

The unspoken question is always about the keys. Saying plainly that staff are DBS checked, employed and insured answers it before it becomes a reason not to ring.

Tell me about your business.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
