Websites for supported living providers

Two audiences: commissioners who place people, and families who visit.

Supported living is usually commissioned by a local authority or health body, but the family of the person being placed will look you up, and their view carries weight.

The commissioner wants capability, compliance and capacity. The family wants to know their relative will have a life. Both need serving, and they need different pages.

What your customers want answered

  1. What needs do you support, and what do you not take
  2. What does a placement look like day to day
  3. Do you have capacity, and where
  4. What is your inspection rating and your staffing model
  5. How do you support independence and choice

Show an ordinary weekNot a mission statement, but what somebody actually does: work or college, shopping, seeing friends, cooking. Families are trying to picture a life rather than a service, and commissioners are looking for evidence that outcomes are real.

Writing only for commissioners

Procurement language alienates the families who will visit the website after a placement is proposed, and their objections can stop it. Both readers deserve content written for them.

Tell me about your business.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
