Websites for car dealers

Buyers arrive having already researched the car. Sell the confidence, not the stock.

By the time somebody contacts a dealer they have usually decided which car they want and have compared several examples online. What they are choosing between is sellers, not vehicles.

That decision turns on trust: whether the car is as described, what happens if something goes wrong, and whether the price will change when they arrive.

What your customers want answered

  1. What is the actual price, including any fees
  2. What warranty comes with it and what does it cover
  3. Has it been serviced, and can I see the history and the MOT record
  4. Can I part exchange, and what is mine worth
  5. Do you offer finance, and what would the monthly cost be

Photograph the faults as well as the carBuyers assume a used car has marks and distrust a listing that shows none. Photographing the kerbed alloy and the stone chips, and describing condition honestly, generates better enquiries from people who arrive expecting what they find.

Being vague about consumer rights and finance

Buyers have rights when a used car turns out to be faulty, and introducing finance requires the right regulatory permission. Dealers who are straightforward about both look considerably more professional than those who avoid the subject.

Tell me about your business.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
