Websites for dog walkers
You have a key to their house and their dog's life. Trust is the entire product.
Dog walking is bought by owners who work and feel guilty about it. They are handing over a key and an animal they love to somebody they may meet once.
Everything that reduces that anxiety — insurance, references, updates during the walk, how keys are handled — matters more than the price per walk.
What your customers want answered
- Which areas do you cover and do you have space
- What does it cost, and is it group or solo walking
- How many dogs do you walk at once
- Are you insured, and how do you handle keys
- Will I hear from you during the day
Send a photo from every walkA picture and a line about how the walk went, sent to the owner each day, is the single most valued thing in this trade. Saying that you do it turns a commodity service into a relationship and makes you very hard to replace.
Not stating group sizes
Owners have read about walkers with a dozen dogs in a van. Stating how many you walk together, and how dogs are matched, addresses a real concern that competitors leave hanging.

One message is enough to start. I’ll read it and reply myself, usually with a couple of questions and a clear price.
