Websites for childminders
You are the alternative to a nursery. Say what is different about a home setting.
Parents choosing a childminder are usually deliberately choosing against a nursery: smaller numbers, a home environment, more flexibility, the same person every day.
Saying that plainly, rather than presenting yourself as a smaller nursery, reaches the parents who want exactly what you offer and are searching for it.
What your customers want answered
- Do you have space, for which ages and days
- What do you charge, and is that hourly or daily
- Do you take funded hours
- Are you registered and what is your inspection rating
- What does a typical day look like
Describe an ordinary day, hour by hourMeals, naps, the walk to school, the park, what happens in the rain. Parents choosing a home setting want to picture their child's day, and this is the content a nursery brochure cannot match. It is also what reassures a parent leaving a baby for the first time.
No mention of registration
Childminders must be registered with the relevant regulator, and parents are told to check. Stating your registration and rating, and that it can be verified, is basic reassurance that many childminder pages omit.
